For the past season in the UK, we have been deeply blessed to walk alongside people from many nations - sharing meals, learning together, and building a community centred on care, faith, and genuine friendship. As we look back on this journey, we want to archive three key ministries that shaped our time here: International Café and Singing Class.
International Café was at the heart of our weekly ministry. Every week, people from various countries gathered to practise English, enjoy food, and build friendships across cultures. Most importantly, it was a safe space where we could share life stories, support one another, and explore the Bible together. Many participants came initially for English lessons - but stayed because they found a welcoming family. At the Café, we saw barriers fall: language barriers, cultural barriers, and even emotional walls. What began as a simple English class and shared meal often became a place where people encountered genuine love and community.

Our Singing Class was designed especially for internationals who were not yet confident in English. Through simple worship songs, participants learned English pronunciation, rhythm, and vocabulary - all while discovering the joy of singing praises together. The class created a unique environment where music connected people beyond words. Those who felt shy speaking English often felt free and confident when singing. For many, the songs became a source of comfort and encouragement during difficult times.
Teaching worship songs became more than a language lesson - it became a way to share hope.

Across all three ministries, one thing remained constant: people experienced belonging.
Whether through a shared meal, or a simple melody, we saw God bring together individuals from different cultures, languages, and backgrounds. Many who joined felt isolated or overwhelmed by life in a new country; through these ministries, they found community, friendship, and spiritual support.
As we archive this chapter of our ministry, we are reminded of the countless stories and relationships formed along the way. And we look forward with hope, trusting that the seeds planted will continue to grow.
